The Bulk Unloader supports Operations, Materials, and Maintenance by ensuring the safe, efficient movement and handling of bulk and packaged materials. This role monitors bulk unloading processes, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports production through timely material delivery while adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Model and enforce safety behaviors, PPE requirements, and workplace organization (6S).

  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards; report and escalate issues promptly.

  • Safely handle chemicals and bulk materials in accordance with established procedures.

  • Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Material Handling & Operations

  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Supply packaging lines with raw materials and remove finished goods to prevent downtime.

  • Load/unload trucks and trailers, ensuring product protection and accurate documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading).

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.

  • Manage product returns, including inspection, rework, and disposition.

Bulk System Management

  • Monitor and unload bulk deliveries into storage tanks safely and accurately.

  • Verify tanker documentation and ensure proper material transfer.

  • Track bulk inventory levels and complete required documentation and SAP reconciliation.

  • Take and manage raw material samples per quality standards.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and system updates.

  • Complete and manage receiving and shipping documentation (freight bills, packing lists, etc.).

  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and submitted on time.

Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance (e.g., pumps, hoses, valves, filters).

  • Support TPM activities, including planned downtime and weekend work as needed.

  • Assist in developing and following SOPs for safe material handling and rework.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.

Team Support

  • Support production and cross-functional teams as needed (Bulk, Mix, Effluent, Material Handling).

  • Fill in for team members when required.

  • Communicate effectively across shifts and departments.

  • Train and support team members as a subject matter expert (SME) in bulk operations and safety.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.

  • Ability to safely lift/move materials up to 100 lbs (with assistive devices as needed).

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, or extended shifts as needed.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.

  • Forklift certification and/or experience with bulk handling systems.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $47,950.00 and $70,323.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
