Financial Consulting Manager - Technical Delivery

The RSM Finance and Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) practice is actively hiring for TDT Client Delivery, Finance Transformation, Automation and Optimization. This position will be responsible for the support and administration, automation, process optimization, deployment of AI tools, adoption, ongoing operation support and team handling. This role will be responsible for consulting and collaborating with our team of highly performing consultants responsible for onboarding new clients and providing ongoing client accounting services (CAS).  This role will provide exposure to a variety of clients and client industries to continue your career development. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in both accounting and cloud-based technology solutions along with an understanding of how to leverage technology for process improvement. 

Key Responsibilities:

Finance transformation and automation: Collaborate with FaaS team and look out for opportunities that can be automated with the help automation tool. Manage end-to-end delivery of client engagements, ensuring timelines, quality, and scope are met Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling escalations and maintaining strong relationships Translate business requirements into actionable technical and functional deliverables Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution Ensure high-quality deliverables through regular reviews and adherence to standards System Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay up to date with FAO tech stacks updates and collaborate with IT for system upgrades and enhancements. Reporting and Analytics: Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making. Compliance: Ensure that BlackLine usage adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements. Develop collaborative relationships with partnering teams and stakeholders to identify system improvement opportunities.

Optimize use of Finance tools through the following activities:

• Business process evaluation
• Procedure development
• Data migration and Transition
• System process flow and requirements
• QA planning and testing
• Creation and oversight of documentation related to standard operating procedures.
• User training development and deployment
• Production support for problems and enhancements resulting from quarterly product releases.
• Ensures adequate communication and proper integration across entirety of FAO practice and our technology partners.
• Provide technical support to end-users to resolve issues, including escalation through proper channels within RSM and with tech support.
• Perform other duties/projects as required.

Required Qualification - Manager level:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, MIS or IT
• 10+ years Accounting or Finance Experience
• Background in financial close process optimization/continuous improvement
• Experience leading implementations of ERP and finance applications.
• Expertise in process analysis and redesign of business processes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills with sensitivity to timeframes, budgets and outcomes across multiple clients and projects
• Ability to prioritize and stay organized/focused in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with competing demands. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• BlackLine/ERP/EPM Implementation Certified Consultant
• Experience with automation by leveraging tools i.e., Gen AI, Agentic AI, Alteryx, PowerBI
• Experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm or other professional services environment
• Experience in an outsourced accounting role
• CA, CPA, MBA Finance

• Proven ability to work with minimal direction, as well as be resourceful and independent in solving problems.
• Strong computer skills and proficient use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
