Position Summary
Ozark Center’s Urgent Behavioral Solutions is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Advanced Practice Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team focused on providing integrated behavioral health and medical care. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work alongside psychiatric nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, and psychiatric providers in an environment that addresses both behavioral health and underlying medical needs.
The Family Nurse Practitioner serves a critical role in evaluating and managing patients who present with behavioral health concerns while ensuring medical issues are identified, addressed, and appropriately treated. The practice emphasizes patient education and helps bridge medical gaps until patients can establish or reconnect with a primary care provider.
Key Responsibilities
Perform medical assessments and evaluations for patients presenting with behavioral health concerns.
Medically clear patients for:
Emergency Department referrals
Detoxification services
Residential behavioral health treatment programs
Identify and address underlying medical conditions that may contribute to or mimic behavioral health symptoms.
Provide acute primary care services and bridge medical care needs until patients can be seen by their primary care provider.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, wellness strategies, and follow-up care.
Collaborate closely with psychiatric nurse practitioners, family nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, therapists, and other members of the care team.
Ensure patients receive coordinated, patient-centered care in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Support a culture of exceptional customer service, patient engagement, and compassionate care.
Schedule & Benefits
Proposed schedule: Four days per week (10 hours during the week and 8 hours on weekends)
No call responsibilities.

Requirements
Current Missouri Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to MO State Board of Nursing.
Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
