Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist 

Unity Health Toronto’s Digital team is advancing organization-wide transformation through the rollout of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and Copilot. This initiative is focused on improving collaboration, information management, and productivity across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.

We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist to partner with the organization to ensure these tools are used effectively, aligned to real business needs, and fully adopted in day-to-day work.

Job Profile

The Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist is a business-facing role responsible for enabling the effective use and adoption of Microsoft 365 across Unity Health.

The role works closely with clinical, operational, and Digital teams to understand workflows, identify opportunities, and integrate Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, Copilot) into daily work in practical and meaningful ways.

In partnership with the Microsoft 365 Technical Administrator, this role helps ensure solutions are designed, implemented, and adopted in a way that aligns with business needs, governance, and organizational priorities.

The Specialist focuses on translating business needs into functional approaches, driving adoption, and maximizing the value of Microsoft 365 capabilities across the organization.

Main Responsibilities

Business Engagement & Enablement

    • Partner with stakeholders to understand workflows and identify opportunities to improve collaboration, communication, efficiency and information management
    • Translate business needs into practical Microsoft 365 solutions and use cases
    • Act as a liaison between business teams and the Microsoft 365 Technical Administrator to ensure alignment

    M365 Rollout & Optimization

    • Support the rollout and effective use of Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Copilot and Power Apps
    • Guide teams on how to incorporate these Microsoft tools into daily workflows to enhance productivity
    • Support the development of low code solutions (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate) to enhance workflows and improve efficiency
    • Partner with technical teams to implement solutions that meet business needs
    • Promote consistent, sustainable use of the platform across the organization

    Adoption, Training & Support

    • Develop and deliver guidance, training, and communications
    • Coach users and address adoption gaps to improve effective use

    Continuous Improvement

    • Monitor usage and identify opportunities to improve workflows and solutions
    • Stay current on new features and recommend relevant enhancements

    Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
    •  3-5 years experience supporting and enabling Microsoft 365 solutions in a complex organizational environment
    • Advanced functional knowledge of core Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity tools, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and Power Automate.
    • Working experience with related Microsoft 365 services such as Power Apps, Planner, and other M365 applications, with a focus on how they support workflows and enablement
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Experience working with clinical, healthcare, or complex operational environments is an asset
    • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform) is an asset
    • Demonstrated commitment to the vision, mission and values of the Hospital, and to the principles of a culture of discovery and continuous learning.
    • Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
