Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities As a Deaf Mentor you will: Provide home-based services to families with deaf/hard-of-hearing children, age birth to three years, in the areas of American Sign Language (ASL) and deaf culture Prepare and write lesson plans. Perform weekly home visits to children and families, following the curriculum provided, and models for parents the activities to be worked on with children during the week; Help families access deaf community activities and events. Apply bilingual, bicultural teaching methods to deaf/hard-of-hearing children.
