Job Description

Light Brick Studio is a small development team in Copenhagen. As part of LEGO® Digital Play, we are on a mission to pioneer meaningful, creative, and joyful digital entertainment experiences for future generations.

We are looking for an experienced UI Designer to shape the user experience and visual interface of our next mobile game.

Being a small team allows us to foster a culture of close collaboration, empowerment and transparency. Our process is driven by creative vision and individual passion, and revolves around experimentation and quick iterations with regular playtests.

From the start, we have been very inspired by the intricate vocabulary of LEGO bricks, and this has led us to release two award-winning games with the brick at the center. When we start a new game project, we try to challenge ourselves and do something different from what we have done before. This year, we are working on something new again, and we need your help.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the look & feel of our mobile game

  • Collaborate with game designers on the user flow and interfaces in the game

  • Design the visual language and create high quality UI assets

  • Create quick mockups/prototypes for internal discussion and user testing

  • Engage in user testing in collaboration with our Test Manager

  • Collaborate with the tech team to implement the design in Unity

  • Contribute to a collaborative culture and positive work environment

Required Experience & Skills

MUST HAVE

  • Experience in designing and implementing UI for mobile games or apps

  • Strong skills in visual design and execution

  • Experience building quick UI mockups

  • Ability to integrate input from colleagues and user research

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of working in Unity
