Maintenance - Maintenance Bldg & Grounds 1

Starting Rate: Up to $31.00 an hour (based on experience) 8-hour shift. Additional Incentives: $100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement $150 Safety Glasses Reimbursement Company will provide all tools necessary 2+ Weeks’ Vacation (years of experience in trade considered) Cross-training provided   Work Hours:    Location:  3094 Lester Dr. Kendallville, IN   As our Maintenance Mechanic, Buildings and Grounds 1, you will: Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, including: Motors, gearboxes, bearings, mechanical drives, VFD’s, electrical components, and basic controls Learn and assist with facility systems, including: Chiller, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and general building maintenance. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from team members and management. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain clean, organized and safe maintenance area. Physical Requirements: Must be able to Lift and carry up to 50 pound Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 12 hours shift.   Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics is a plus. Some experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take direction Reliable, punctual and safety-focused. Positive attitude and strong cultural fit with a team-oriented environment.
