Tooling Die Designer / Die Maker – 2nd Shift
Spartanburg, SC | Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Looking to put your craftsmanship to work in a clean, high-tech environment where your expertise truly matters? Quad’s Spartanburg facility is hiring an experienced Tooling Die Designer / Die Maker to join our team.
In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in delivering precision tooling that drives high-quality packaging for well-known brands. You’ll collaborate closely with Design and Die Cutting teams, ensuring every die meets exact customer specifications while helping improve overall production efficiency.
What You’ll Earn
• $24.00 – $31.00 / hour, based on your experience and skills

What You’ll Do
• Create, rule, rub, and repair cutting dies with a high degree of precision
• Ensure all tooling meets customer specifications (rule, perf, crease accuracy)
• Partner with Design and Die Cutting teams to improve tooling performance
• Maintain die-making equipment and manage tooling inventory
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to keep production running smoothly
What You Bring
• 5+ years of die-making experience (packaging industry preferred)
• Experience with paperboard carton production
• Ability to read and work from AutoCAD files and customer specifications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Bobst Die Cutters is a plus
Education
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
