IO’s Project Delivery Enterprise Team delivers some of the province’s largest and most important public infrastructure projects, including new hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses. Our made-in-Ontario approach to modern project delivery has brought over 100 major projects to market and has made Ontario a global leader in infrastructure development by delivering new projects on time and on budget while meeting high standards for design, quality, and health and safety.
We are currently looking for Project Coordinators to support our various major projects within Project Delivery in the following areas:
Social Infrastructure (Health-Hospitals, Broader Healthcare Sector, Public Works, Government Services)
Transportation (LRT, Rail Delivery, Roads)
To succeed in this role, the Project Coordinator brings sound stakeholder management skills and experience finding positive solutions to complex issues with clients and diverse teams of project consultants and specialists. Advanced presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are also required. Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items on major projects is an asset.

What You Will Do:
Support the delivery on major projects using various Public-Private-Partnerships (P3) and alternative delivery models.
Provide technical and commercial support to the management of projects, from pre-transaction, Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stage through to construction and commissioning.
Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation measures specific to commercial and contractual matters.
Support the negotiations of claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items.
Support the management of relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
A few years of hands-on experience with major projects in an owner representative, design consultant, or construction management role.
Relevant experience or education in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture or related discipline.
PMP certification or in the process of acquiring is an asset.
Experience with project budgets, schedules and technical requirements.
Presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are required.
Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders is required.
