Job Description


Responsibilities

The Clinical Engineering - Senior Clinical Engineering Specialist provides day to day operations and support for all imaging technologies within Norton Healthcare receiving focused Imaging equipment training and associated peripherals. This position provides quality, timely and cost-effective preventative maintenance and repair service of the diagnostic imaging equipment on the following modalities: Ultrasound, X-Ray, MRI & Fluoroscopic, and Contrast Injectors but not limited to other modalities; leveraging approved tools for asset control and configuration as well as ISO quality procedures and documents as outlined by the department. The Clinical Engineering - is expected to adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), including all regulatory agency compliance and other applicable policies, procedures, Request and maintain X account credentials with admin privileges.  Add new or existing devices to the Domain. Keep up to date on IS Clearpass form. This position is expected obtain manufacturer certifications as well as learn and apply new technology, ISO quality and security concepts as medical device technology evolves. This employee serves as a subject matter expert and liaison for modality associated vendors, clinicians and physicians. The Clinical Engineering - must maintain or exceed service metrics set by CE/HTM leadership. Must obtain manufacturer certifications as assigned by leadership.


Qualifications

Required:

  • With Associate degree: Five years repair and maintenance of complex clinical equipment
  • Without Associate Degree: Completion of Electronics or U.S. Military Biomedical equipment technology program and Five years repair and maintenance of complex clinical equipment

Desired:

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician OR Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist OR Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist

Required:

  • With Associate degree: Five years repair and maintenance of complex clinical equipment
