Director, Amazon Operations

Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full Amazon P&L, budgets and forecasting to deliver against profitability and sales targets.
- Define and execute growth strategies across advertising, promotions, retail programmes, site optimisation and assortment planning.
- Lead and partner closely with the Amazon agency, ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance and continuous optimisation.
- Oversee all Amazon‑related operations including inventory planning, customer experience, listing and catalogue management, and account health.
- Own total sales and demand forecasting, working collaboratively with internal teams to align scenarios, plans and execution across stakeholders.
- Lead the planning and execution of new product launches, delivering best‑in‑class go‑to‑market strategies in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Own and optimise Amazon content performance, including PDP assets, landing pages and video.
- Develop and manage reporting frameworks that translate data into actionable insights and measurable commercial improvements.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance performance through analytics and testing.
- Ensure all actions and decisions support ELEMIS’ sustainability commitments across our Climate, Biodiversity and People pillars, contributing to both short‑ and long‑term goals.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
- Experience managing Amazon through Seller Central.
- Deep understanding of Amazon Seller Central, FBA operations and Amazon media.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive profitable growth.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
- High proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables and formulas.
- A proactive, highly organised self‑starter who brings structure to ambiguity.
- Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience influencing across teams and partners.
- A growth mindset, openness to feedback, and a passion for continuous improvement.
