Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator, you will coordinate and lead the daily operations of the laboratory while ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic results. This role uses independent judgment to prioritize, delegate, and oversee all phases of the laboratory process, supporting both operational excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction.

In addition to hands‑on leadership, the Coordinator plays a key role in quality management, regulatory compliance, staff education, and performance improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and leading daily laboratory operations, including scheduling and supervisory duties as needed
• Prioritizing, delegating, and overseeing all phases of the laboratory testing process
• Ensuring laboratory policies, procedures, and established processes are consistently followed
• Overseeing quality assurance and quality management programs and addressing process deviations
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies and system‑wide requirements, including proficiency testing
• Overseeing laboratory education and training, including orientation, competency documentation, and serving as a trainer, preceptor, mentor, and resource
• Assisting with gathering and monitoring data to support laboratory goals and performance metrics
• Supporting additional operational responsibilities during manager or supervisor absences, including staffing coordination and meeting participation

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or a related Clinical Science field

Experience

Required:

• 4 Years of Clinical laboratory experience

Licensure 

Required:

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
