Job Description

About the role

Our Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) organisation is seeking a Sanctions Specialist to join our Sanctions & Transaction Monitoring team. You will become part of a highly specialised team responsible for ensuring the Group’s adherence to global sanctions regulations, handling L2 alerts, and supporting FIU reporting. The team is based in our Hellerup office, where you will work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

In this role, you will handle sanctions-related inquiries, assess escalated alerts, and take on a variety of tasks aligned with your experience, interests, and professional development goals. You will join a dedicated FCP organisation committed to combating financial crime globally, playing a key role in protecting the integrity of financial markets and making a meaningful impact across all the countries in which we operate.

This is a temporary position ending on 31 January 2027, with the possibility of becoming permanent upon mutual agreement, based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain clear, structured documentation on sanctions compliance, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations
  • Ensure the correct and timely implementation of sanctions requirements across systems, processes, and internal controls
  • Provide input and configuration requirements for sanctions screening solutions related to clients, transactions, and other relevant areas
  • Handle ongoing operational tasks, including escalated sanctions alerts, case handling, and responses to advisory inquiries
  • Support continuous improvement of sanctions processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across compliance, operations, and technology to ensure effective implementation of sanctions controls

Your profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with sanctions compliance in a similar company. Proven experience in providing concise advice based on sanctions requirements is essential. It is a benefit, but not a requirement, if you have a good understanding of sanctions regulations.

  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical and operational guidance
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Professional proficiency in English is required; Danish is not necessary

We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.

We look forward to hearing from you and exploring how you can contribute to strengthening our Financial Crime Prevention efforts.
