Job Description

Responsibilities

This is a casual, on call role which requires 4 shifts a month. 
 
As an inpatient therapist, you hold a vital role in the journey of our patients toward mental wellness. Your responsibilities are to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychosocial services tailored to each individual. 
 
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Provide group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy for assigned patients.
  • May work with children, adolescents, and adults ages 5-35. 
  • Coordinates care with other relevant internal and external providers.
  • Available to provide coverage for other Therapists when absent or as the need arises.
  • Contributes to the interdisciplinary team the perspective of their unique training in the area of family systems and/or social work theory.
  • Maintains current competency in effective de-escalation of patients using Collaborative Problem Solving ©, therapeutic self, relationship-based care, and trauma informed care, as applicable to role.
  • Oriented and educated in gender, cultural differences, and age appropriate care for the assigned department.
 

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree or higher and licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Psychologist (LP) required.
 
Previous Experience:
  1. Two years previous mental health experience strongly preferred.
  2. Experience in intensive psychiatric healthcare settings preferred.
  3. Experience using electronic health records preferred.
 
Specific Skills:
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance.
  • Have computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word.

Pay range for this position is $39.45- $48.00 hourly depending on education, licensure, and experience.
