About the Role
Vitalant is seeking a Medical Assistant to play a vital role in supporting patient care at our Hemophilia Center of Western PA. This position is responsible for assisting clinical staff, supporting patient visits, and ensuring a positive and efficient experience for patients with bleeding disorders.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Starting Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Support patient care by assisting providers during clinic visits
- Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining and documenting vital signs
- Assist with patient intake, documentation, and medical record updates
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
- Prepare, label, and handle specimens in accordance with established procedures
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care
- Maintain clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations
- Support clinic workflow and assist with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Experience working with patients in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems
