Cut Shop Associate

Cut Shop Associates cut countertops, doors, moldings, and other products as needed. They are responsible for securing and maintaining all cut shop tools and equipment, while maintaining a clear safety mindset.

This is a part-time position up to 40 hours/ week as needed. Candidates must be able to work a variable shift schedule including days, evenings and weekends as per business needs.

• Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of cut shop tools, saws and dust collection systems

• Communicates with customers, sales associates and shippers to ensure that work orders are properly scheduled

• Ensure those entering the cut shop follow safety protocols

• Builds custom wooden items for store use and product merchandising 

• Cut countertops and building materials according to customer order specifications with accuracy and minimal waste 

• Safety mindset

• Carpentry/ woodworking/ building experience is preferred 

• Experience using a variety of saws (table, miter, jig, circular, band) is an asset 

• High attention to detail - will be required to measure and cut materials accurately and according to customer/ project specifications 

• Able to work in hot, cold and variable temperatures

• Heavy lifting required 

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time 

• Provide an exceptional level of Customer Service

• Team player; helps across departments as per the needs of the business
