- Assesses the patient's condition
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures
- Assists physicians with procedures
- Assists in the maintenance of patient ultrasound exam information.
- Assists in maintaining the unit in working order
Qualifications
Education
- Associates degree in Ultrasound or equivalent as defined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Experience
- None. One year of experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or registry eligible. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
