All about the role:

Reporting to the Vice President Procurement – Global Logistics, the Global Warehouse & Distribution Procurement Lead will be responsible for developing and executing global procurement strategies for warehousing, distribution, and related 3PL services. The role ensures cost competitiveness, service excellence, risk mitigation, and sustainable supplier performance across the company’s global logistics network.

This position works in close partnership with Supply Chain Operations, Finance, Quality, Commercial teams, and regional procurement leads to drive value creation and enhance operational efficiency.

What you’ll do:

Category Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and own the global category strategy for warehousing, distribution, 3PL logistics, and value‑added services.

  • Analyse market trends, cost drivers, and risks to define sourcing strategies that align with corporate goals.

  • Drive global category governance, playbooks, and standard procurement policies.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects including RFI/RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting.

  • Manage global and regional strategic supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and innovation.

  • Establish KPI frameworks (cost, service, safety, sustainability, reliability) and conduct regular QBRs.

Cost Optimization & Value Creation

  • Identify and execute initiatives delivering cost savings, service improvements, and process efficiencies.

  • Optimize warehouse footprint, transportation interfaces, and inventory handling cost structures.

  • Support network redesign, warehouse automation, and digitalization projects.

Contracting & Risk Management

  • Develop and negotiate global contract templates, MSAs, SLAs, and pricing models.

  • Ensure suppliers adhere to safety, regulatory, ESG, and quality standards.

  • Proactively mitigate supply chain disruptions and operational risks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Logistics Operations, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Finance to align procurement strategy with operational needs.

  • Support new site launches, product introductions, or business expansions requiring warehousing & distribution capabilities.

  • Act as a global advisor to regional procurement teams to ensure alignment and leverage global synergies.

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Own category spend analysis and cost modelling (labour, space, automation, technology fees, etc.).

  • Track and report savings, performance metrics, and strategic project progress to procurement leadership.

  • Support digital procurement tools deployment (e‑sourcing, supplier management platforms).

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with an MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) considered an advantage.

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics roles, with strong expertise in warehousing, distribution, and 3PL management.

  • Proven success in leading global sourcing projects and driving complex supplier negotiations.

  • Preferably experienced in network optimization, warehouse automation, or logistics transformation initiatives.

  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, supported by excellent analytical capabilities and financial modelling expertise.

  • Able to influence senior stakeholders and effectively manage international supplier relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline and the ability to navigate complexity across regions, cultures, and business units.

  • Familiarity with global logistics regulations, compliance requirements, and sustainability standards.

  • Experience with SAP is preferred; proficiency with other ERP systems is also valued.

  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
