This position leads a team and the processes to partner with Sales to provide value-added services to customers and works with internal business partners to provide data support identifying opportunities to improve service and reduce total system costs. He/she will have overall ownership for:
Key Responsibilities
Own and set the strategic direction for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and collaborative replenishment programs, establishing enterprise-wide standards, governance, and long-term capability roadmaps.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership by delivering advanced analytics, actionable insights, and forward-looking recommendations that influence key business decisions across the value chain.
Lead the identification, prioritization, and execution of enterprise supply chain initiatives, driving transformational improvements in cost, service, and working capital performance.
Architect and institutionalize best-in-class VMI frameworks, including program design, customer-specific solutions, Rules of Engagement, and standardized operating models across all manufacturing sites.
Build, develop, and lead high-performing analytics and VMI teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
Establish and govern enterprise data strategy and data integrity standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability of data across systems and stakeholders.
Drive advanced analytics capabilities that enable optimization of inventory, forecasting, and replenishment, improving total value chain performance and customer outcomes.
Design and implement enterprise KPI frameworks and digital dashboards, aligning performance metrics with strategic objectives and enabling real-time visibility for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Own executive-level customer relationships for key strategic accounts, acting as the primary supply chain leader to drive collaboration, performance improvement, and long-term partnership value.
Lead integrated business planning processes including CPFR and VMI, ensuring alignment between customer demand signals, internal planning, and financial objectives.
Develop and execute account-specific supply chain strategies that drive revenue growth, cost optimization, and enhance customer intimacy within formal collaboration models.
Provide leadership in M&A integrations, identifying synergies, standardizing processes, and accelerating adoption of enterprise supply chain best practices.
Champion Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, embedding structured problem solving and value stream optimization across processes and teams.
Partner cross-functionally at a senior level (Operations, Finance, Commercial, IT) to design and implement scalable system solutions and process improvements.
Lead change management initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new tools, processes, and organizational capabilities.
Develop future leaders within the organization through mentoring, coaching, and formal training on systems, analytics, and supply chain best practices.
Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, translating insights into strategic opportunities for competitive advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including significant responsibility for strategic planning, customer collaboration, and operational execution.
Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale customer relationships with sophisticated distribution networks and high service expectations.
Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, with strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
Deep expertise across end-to-end supply chain functions including demand planning, inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and network operations.
Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to translate large, complex data sets into strategic insights and business outcomes.
Strong experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies, with measurable impact on operational performance.
Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, effectively balancing long-term vision with operational execution.
Exceptional executive communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to drive alignment and execution across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience in CPG, manufacturing, or packaging/printing environments is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with advanced analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and strong working knowledge of planning systems.
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering measurable value and strengthening long-term partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and drive results in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Willingness to travel as needed to support strategic initiatives and key customer engagements.
