About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the supervision of bridge and structural works on a major infrastructure project. This opportunity is part of a project currently at the EOI stage, and we are engaging with qualified professionals in preparation for a potential project award. The Senior Bridge Engineer will report to the Team Leader and support the Senior Resident Engineer on all structural aspects of the construction supervision activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise construction activities related to bridges and associated structural works
• Review contractor’s method statements, shop drawings, and technical submissions
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and FIDIC (or similar) contract conditions
• Monitor construction quality, progress, and safety for bridge works
• Provide technical support on structural engineering matters
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders
• Support the Senior Resident Engineer in structural supervision and reporting
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professionally qualified Civil Engineer
• PE (Professional Engineer) and/or Chartered Engineer (CEng) and/or EUR ING certification (or equivalent professional registration)
• 10+ years of overall experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bridge construction projects
• Strong experience in reviewing contractor submissions and supervising structural works
• Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract conditions preferred
