Position Overview
We are hiring for the position of Specialist - Airport Regulatory Requirements/DGCA Compliance. This role is critical in ensuring that airport operations comply with all regulatory requirements set forth by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and other relevant aviation authorities. The Specialist will act as a key liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to safety standards, operational protocols, and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DGCA, ICAO, BCAS, AAI, and other applicable aviation regulatory requirements
- Review airport design, drawings, and layouts for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with DGCA and other statutory authorities for approvals, inspections, and audits
- Prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documentation, compliance reports, and checklists
- Support aerodrome licensing, renewal, and variation processes
- Monitor changes in aviation regulations and ensure timely implementation
- Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and gap assessments
- Liaise with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Support safety management system (SMS) implementation and regulatory reporting
- Provide technical guidance on airport operational readiness and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or certification in regulatory compliance or aviation safety is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing large-scale aviation infrastructure projects
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience in managing projects in live airport environments.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green certifications.
