Job Description

Help us keep Schibsted running 24/7

At Schibsted, technology is at the core of everything we do. The Operations Center is Schibsted's 24/7 operational hub. We monitor critical systems, coordinate major incidents, support internal users outside office hours, and help ensure our technology platforms remain available and reliable.

We are now looking for a technically curious and ambitious Operations Center Technician to join our team in Stockholm.

This is a shift-based onsite role where you'll help keep Schibsted running around the clock. You'll work closely with technical teams, respond to operational disruptions, and play a key role in incident coordination and communication.

What you will do

As an Operations Center Technician, you will:

  • Monitor systems and infrastructure to identify and respond to incidents

  • Provide first-line IT support outside office hours when the Service Desk is closed

  • Coordinate communication and escalation during incidents

  • Troubleshoot technical disruptions

  • Collaborate with technical teams across Schibsted

  • Contribute to improving routines, documentation, and operational processes

The role includes shift work covering days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Who we believe you are

We believe you are someone who enjoys solving problems, helping others, continuously learning new things and has a great sense of responsibility.

You likely have:

  • Foundational Linux knowledge and an interest in infrastructure and operations

  • Experience from a Service Desk, technical support, or operational environment

  • Good communication skills in both Swedish and English

  • A structured and calm approach, even during high-pressure situations

  • A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently

The role combines periods of high-intensity incident response with quieter operational windows. During these periods, you'll have opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, improve documentation, develop technical skills, and contribute to operational improvements.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

  • Major incident management

  • Container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Virtualization technologies and cloud environments

  • Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog or similar platforms

  • Scripting or automation

What we offer

At Schibsted, you will work in a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and continuous learning are encouraged.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to work with critical infrastructure and operational processes

  • Hands-on learning within areas such as Linux, networking, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS

  • A team with strong technical competence and a supportive culture

  • A role with real impact across Schibsted’s technical environment

Practical information

  • Location: Stockholm

  • Work model: 100% onsite

  • Working hours: Shift work including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
