Experienced Bookkeeper (Contract – Immediate Start)
2+ Month Contract | Monday – Thursday 9-5 | Hands-On Accounting Role
Coquitlam Location
$27 - 32 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for an immediate contract opportunity expected to run for 2 months or longer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cleaning up reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for an immediate contract opportunity expected to run for 2 months or longer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cleaning up reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing high-volume bank reconciliations
- Completing Visa/credit card reconciliations
- Preparing and filing GST returns
- Assisting with year-end adjustments and accounting preparation
- Reviewing bookkeeping accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Providing guidance and training to a junior bookkeeper
- Supporting the team with general bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proven experience with reconciliations and GST filings
- Comfortable handling year-end working papers and adjustments
- Ability to identify issues, problem-solve, and work independently
- Patient and professional communicator with mentoring experience preferred
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Available to start immediately
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with QuickBooks accounting software a must
- Formal bookkeeping/accounting education or certification considered an asset
- Experience working with multiple accounts or entities is a bonus
- Mentoring experience an asset
