Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Chef to join our warm, welcoming and nurturing nursery. Our children thrive, our staff feel valued, and we pride ourselves on providing nutritious, balanced meals that support children’s health, wellbeing and development.

Your Main Role and Responsibilities

As a Nursery Chef, you will:

• Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children following nursery menus
• Ensure meals meet children’s dietary, allergy and all other requirements
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with regulations
• Manage food orders and stock levels efficiently
• Work closely with the nursery team to ensure meal times are positive experiences for children
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment

What We Are Looking For

✔ Experience working as a chef or cook, to work 40 hours per week
✔ Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
✔ Ability to plan and prepare healthy meals for children
✔ Organised and reliable approach to kitchen management
✔ A positive and supportive attitude when working as part of a team
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
