Job Description
- Hands-on, multi-tasking role covering the full lifecycle of predominantly Windows Server environments: installation, upgrades, configuration, administration, and ongoing maintenance.
- Lead local and remote office projects end-to-end, from initiation through delivery and handover.
- Support and maintain bespoke trading application infrastructure: provisioning, patching, upgrading, and environment management.
- Manage vendors and service providers, coordinating effectively with internal business and technology teams.
- Provide coverage during core hours, with an expectation of additional out-of-hours support as required, including occasional weekend work.
- Business-as-usual (BAU) 3rd line support, with flexibility to deliver 1st and 2nd line support depending on team structure and operational demand.
- Occasional travel to remote office locations may be required.
- 8+ years’ experience in a comparable systems/IT infrastructure role.
- BSc in Computer Engineering (or related discipline) and/or current relevant IT certifications.
- Strong Windows Server administration skills (Windows Server 2016+); Server Core experience is an advantage.
- Strong VMware ESXi and vCenter administration experience (v7.0+), including managing and executing upgrade cycles.
- Hands-on expertise with Veeam backup solutions.
- Solid administration of Active Directory Domain Services, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- SQL Server installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with Centreon monitoring.
- Strong Citrix experience: XenApp & XenDesktop 7.x, NetScaler ADC, Citrix Studio/Director; Citrix DaaS is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of Exchange Server 2016+, including mailbox administration, retention policies, message troubleshooting, and SMTP relay configuration.
- Experience with NetApp storage (FAS and E-Series), including NFS/CIFS protocols.
- Ability to improve team efficiency by automating repetitive tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Power BI)—a plus.
- Experience managing the Microsoft patching lifecycle, deploying server patches via SCCM; strong SCCM knowledge preferred.
- Broad understanding of global network topology (e.g., DMZ, load balancing, firewalls, VLANs).
- Practical data center experience (hardware racking, cabling/patching, HPE iLO configuration).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services, including Azure AD.
- Nutanix knowledge is advantageous.
