The Senior Process Automation Engineer provides support to Tippecanoe production and support areas through applied control theory and process automation design, implementation and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for plant process control systems.
  • Ensure control system functionality and batch recipes support production, campaign changeovers, and equipment modifications.
  • Design, implement, and maintain control system safety requirements based on process safety assessments.
  • Manage control system lifecycle activities, including patch management, backups, antivirus, spare parts, and preventive maintenance.
  • Lead process control and system-related activities for capital projects from design through implementation.
  • Develop and implement control system modifications to support new products and process improvements.
  • Identify and execute process control enhancements to improve manufacturing performance, consistency, and compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise in process control, instrumentation, software development, batch control standards, validation, and data management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Safety, Health, and Security (ESHS) policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, reporting incidents, participating in ESHS programs, and coaching coworkers on safe work practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree; Chemical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 3+ years of process controls and plant experience with various process control platforms
  • Interpersonal skills with emphasis on oral and written communication
  • Possess a broad knowledge of control theory, automation configuration, system architecture design, alarm management, human interface design, computer system validation, S88 batch standards, and batch and continuous production control applications.
  • Exceptional computer skills.
