Chief Operating Officer (COO)
About Our Client:
- A leading Chinese securities firm with full financial licenses.
- Business scope includes brokerage, investment banking, asset management, institutional investment, and global business.
- Location: Hong Kong
- Reporting line: Reports to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy & System Building
- Execute corporate strategy to develop comprehensive operational plans.
- Oversee all middle and back-office operations, including clearing & settlement, fund operation, account management, and operational support for all business segments.
- Unify operational standards across the firm.
Process Optimization & SOP Management
- Lead reengineering of end-to-end operational processes and standardization of SOPs.
- Streamline cross-departmental collaboration and eliminate inefficient procedures.
- Establish a closed-loop operational assessment and iteration mechanism to enhance institutional efficiency.
Operational Risk & Compliance Control
- Develop and enhance the firm’s operational risk prevention system.
- Manage procedural and systematic operational risks.
- Ensure strict compliance with domestic and international regulatory requirements.
- Achieve zero major operational compliance incidents.
Digital Operational Transformation
- Collaborate with fintech and IT teams to drive automation and digital upgrades.
- Optimize core trading, settlement, and customer service systems.
- Build intelligent operational capabilities.
Team & Cross-departmental Management
- Lead the operational team, focusing on team building and talent development.
- Coordinate front, middle, and back-office functions to ensure efficient business operations.
Requirements:
Core Background
- Strong background in securities operational management.
- Systematic experience in middle-back office management across all securities business scenarios.
- Preference for candidates with a focus on operational management.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of operational management experience in top securities institutions.
- Preference for candidates with COO or Head of Operations experience at leading brokers or international investment banks.
Professional Competence
- Demonstrated success in operational system construction, process reengineering, and digital transformation.
- Familiarity with CSRC regulations and operational rules of domestic and international capital markets.
- Strong operational risk control abilities.
Comprehensive Quality
- Strategic vision and excellent cross-departmental coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Rigorous mindset, strong resilience under pressure, and C-suite leadership qualities.
- Fluency in both Chinese and English.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
- Relevant financial certifications (e.g., FRM) are a plus.
