As the largest private hospital in the UK, The Wellington Hospital is known for delivering high‑quality acute care in a supportive, well‑resourced environment, where colleagues are given the time, tools and trust to do their best work. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing service, shaped by collaboration, clinical excellence and a shared commitment to patient‑centred care.
As a Nursing Associate on our Acute Medical Ward, you’ll work as part of a close‑knit multidisciplinary team caring for patients with a range of acute medical conditions. Your role is central to the day‑to‑day delivery of safe, compassionate care, supporting patients through assessment, monitoring and recovery. You’ll work closely with Registered Nurses, contributing within your scope of practice while developing your clinical confidence and experience in an acute setting. This is a role that offers variety, learning and the chance to build strong professional relationships in a ward designed to support both patient outcomes and colleague wellbeing.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you’ll do:
  • Support the delivery of safe, compassionate and individualised care to patients on the Acute Medical Ward
  • Monitor patients’ condition, recognising and responding appropriately to changes within your scope of practice
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to support clinical care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional standards and policies
What you’ll bring:
  • NMC registration as a Nursing Associate
  • Significant UK post‑registration experience within a medical ward setting
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach to patient care
  • A clear understanding of your scope of practice and when to seek advice or escalate concerns
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team under appropriate supervision
