Purpose: Independently perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment.  Candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic while completing tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Customer service and communication skills are required. The Ag Equipment Service Technician may be asked to clearly explain to a customer, in a courteous and effective manner, aspects of work being performed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere and other brands of ag equipment and technology, sometimes in the field
• Perform setup and pre-delivery preparation of new equipment
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere products and competitive products
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• If on-site field work is assigned, a company vehicle is provided

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience performing service repairs on large agricultural or relatable heavy equipment
• Work history of consistently meeting performance metrics
• Ability to follow Technical Manual procedures
• Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in agricultural, off road, construction or other heavy equipment
• High School diploma or equivalent experience required . . . Associate Degree preferred
• Driver's license required
• Must have an adequate toolset/toolbox to perform job responsibilities . . . specialized tools provided by company
