OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join the newly established Sustainable Client Solutions (SCS) Team in London. The SCS Team is responsible for working closely with Relationship Managers and Product Partners throughout in the Global Corporate Investment Bank, Japanese Corporate Banking Division, and Global Markets in the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region in order to promote engagement on sustainable finance and sustainable advisory (i.e. ESG ratings, disclosures, and controversies), as well as spearheading EMEA’s Green Transformation (GX) strategy, all of which are core pillars of the region’s client solution proposition.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the advisory and origination activities of SCS, primarily supporting the Head of Sustainable Client Solutions on resourcing related to the GX Strategy. Additional support will be given to other senior members of the SCS Team as well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in preparing client engagement materials, including generating thought provoking and topical content.
  • Collaborate throughout the region with RMs and Product Partners to help identify sustainable finance and other cross-sell opportunities acting in a product neutral capacity.
  • Proactively stay up-to-date on sustainability-related themes like taxonomies, regulations, etc.
  • Have responsibility for internal knowledge sharing and supporting training efforts related to sustainable finance and advisory topics.
  • Support the Head of SCS as required in liaising with Head Office stakeholders and responding to regular information requests.
  • Be responsible for ensuring proper governance and risk management practices around sustainable finance products.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Desirable to have a level of front office experience.
