- Efficiently perform CNC set ups on production / sample parts.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Assist operators when required.
- Troubleshoot related equipment for process / maintenance issues.
- Perform various machining inspections - work holding / tool holders.
- Update first piece checks when required.
- Operate CNC machine controls and change tool settings to keep product dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Train CNC Set-Up / Operators and perform duties of QA Technician when necessary.
- Ability to read, understand and edit G-code for CNC programs.
- Exercise good time management, communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Understanding of basic mathematics, English and Metric measurement scales.
- Ability to use computer skills to navigate ERP system and perform data collection.
- Must be able to resolve problems, multi-task, and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Must be able to actively move through production space to work with staff.
- Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen.
- Hearing must be correctable to allow understanding of instructions and communication with others.
- Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be completed.
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- Trained CNC / lathe operation or CNC Set-Up experienced.
- Technical training preferred.
