Your Role at Cabot
The Financial Analyst supports financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis across the Specialty Carbons, FMO, and Specialty Compounds businesses in the EMEA region.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the role focuses on delivering timely insights, supporting forecasting processes, and improving data-driven decision making through strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
This position offers strong exposure to commercial and operational topics, with opportunities to develop advanced analytics skills and business partnering capabilities.
How You Will Make an Impact
Performance Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including actual vs forecast analysis.
Support forecasting and budgeting processes (including data preparation and validation).
Track key business performance metrics (volume, pricing, margins).
Assist in preparation of monthly business reviews.
Analysis & Insights
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support profitability analysis across products, customers, and regions.
Contribute to variance analysis and explain key business drivers.
Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from finance and commercial teams.
Data & Tools
Work with large datasets using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
Support development of automated reports and dashboards.
Use digital tools and emerging AI solutions to improve efficiency and insights.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems.
Collaboration
Partner with commercial, operations, and finance teams across EMEA.
Support alignment between financial data and business activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in reporting and analytics.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or similar (preferred).
Strong Excel skills (required).
Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools.
Interest in leveraging AI tools for analysis and automation.
Solid understanding of financial concepts (modeling, forecasting, budgeting).
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Experience with ERP/reporting systems (e.g., JDE, OBI, Anaplan).
Additional Information:
Permanent contract.
Working hours: 9:00 - 17:30.
Health insurance from first day of work.
Monthly allowance & yearly bonus.
Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days’ work from home).
Salary: 2300 - 3150 EUR Gross. The final salary offer will depend on the candidate’s previous experience and qualifications.
