Vision: Through community and volunteer engagement, we aim to help families recover faster after disasters using our "smart response" strategy and by rebuilding in a disaster resilient way we prepare them for future disasters and, through the process, strengthen communities Our Story: The lives of Co-founders Petra Nemcova and David Campbell were changed forever by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.
David Campbell heard about the devastating tsunami and jumped on a plane to offer his extensive expertise gained as a former CEO of BBN Technologies, ultimately starting what is now All Hands Volunteers in 2005.
