The Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering (I-SENSE) was established in early 2015 to coordinate university-wide activities in the Sensing and Smart Systems pillar of FAU’s Strategic Plan for the Race to Excellence.

FAU is positioned to capitalize on emerging sensing, communication, and data analytics technologies to embark on a new trajectory of excellence in the institution’s research, education, and public service missions.

These technologies can enable incredible opportunities for exploration and discovery that leverage FAU’s unique regional resources across six campuses, 10 colleges, and numerous research programs.

I-SENSE was established to foster the realization of these opportunities by providing two core services to the FAU community.
