Rochester City School District

The Rochester City School District is one of the 5 largest school Districts in New York State, employing approximately 6,000 staff members and serving approximately 22,000 students, with over 50 schools and programs.

We are excited to present our collective vision for the future of education in the Rochester City School District.

Our strategic plan, crafted in collaboration with students, parents, staff, and community members, sets ambitious and achievable goals to propel us toward excellence as OneRCSD. Rochester is the fourth largest metro in New York State.

Nestled between Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York, Rochester combines small-town accessibility with big-city services. The region attracts millions of visitors to its 11 lakes, 130 wineries, 75 breweries and distilleries, and eight ski resorts.
