Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse, NY

Since 1887, the Rescue Mission has put love into action through shelter, food, clothing, and hope. Headquartered in Syracuse, NY, we are a 100% local and independent nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and homelessness.

We provide programming in Syracuse, Auburn, and Binghamton, NY. In Syracuse, the Rescue Mission is the only organization to serve three meals a day, 365 days a year to anyone in the community in need of a hot meal. We also operate a 183-bed emergency shelter for men and women.

Permanent housing includes Crossroads, a 59-bed NYS licensed congregate care home, and 39 units of permanent supportive housing.

All program participants are eligible to receive assistance and case management to transition to independent living, including: workforce development, spiritual care and counseling.
