Settlement Housing Fund

Settlement Housing Fund (SHF) is a nonprofit affordable housing organization based in New York City that creates, preserves, and sustains high-quality affordable housing that revitalizes neighborhoods and enables residents to thrive.

SHF serves vulnerable, low- and moderate-income households, helping them achieve long-term stability and well-being through an integrated model that combines affordable housing, on-site social services, resident engagement, community programs, and neighborhood resources.

SHF owns and operates nearly 3,150 affordable apartments across New York City and is currently creating and preserving an additional 2,780 apartments through new construction and rehabilitation projects.

The organization provides on-site support to formerly homeless and housing-insecure tenants to promote long-term housing stability and is a leader in tenant selection, affirmative fair housing, and affordable housing leasing for nonprofit and private development partners.
