Mustang Cat, a leading Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a driven and competitive Retail Sales Representative to grow our presence in the Houston market.
This is NOT a store-based retail role.This is an outside sales position focused on selling heavy equipment solutions to business customers across a defined territory.

What You’ll Do
Develop New Business (Primary Focus)
Prospect and win new customers within your assigned territory
Generate leads through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
Manage & Grow Territory
Build a strong pipeline and execute a strategic territory growth plan
Develop long-term customer relationships and repeat business
Consultative Equipment Sales
Meet with contractors and business owners to understand their needs
Recommend equipment solutions that improve productivity and efficiency
CRM & Pipeline Management
Track all leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in Salesforce
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and follow up consistently
Quotes & Proposals
Develop quotes for new and used equipment
Present financing options and complete sales proposals
Product Knowledge
Learn and represent Caterpillar equipment, especially Building Construction Products (BCP)
Clearly communicate value, features, and competitive advantages
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Sales, Business, Engineering, or related field)
Proven ability to prospect and close new business
Experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or equipment/industrial sales strongly preferred
Strong organizational and computer skills (CRM experience preferred)
Self-starter with excellent time management and accountability
Competitive, results-driven mindset with a desire to win
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Spanish speaking skills a plus
