The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily and monthly accounting functions for assigned properties or corporate entities. This role ensures financial data is accurate, assists with reconciliations and reporting, and supports compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position requires working on property a minimum of 5 days per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience required.
Hospitality or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
Experience with accounting systems such as Aptech PVNG, OnQ PMS, or similar a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger functions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations.
Assist with the month-end close process and financial statement preparation.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts accurately.
Verify accuracy of invoices, receipts, and expense coding.
Maintain and organize accounting documentation for audit and compliance.
Support property-level accounting by reviewing daily revenue and expense entries.
Assist with variance analysis, budgeting, and reporting as needed.
Communicate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
