TITLE: Material Handler
LOCATION: Onsite in Scarborough, ON
SHIFT & HOURS: Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Hiring Hourly Rate: $23.26 (plus afternoon shift premium)

As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:
Communicates all relevant operational matters on an ongoing basis.
Performs duties in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
Transfers material/finished goods from bagging and/or bakeries into inventory, etc.
Keeps material and racks, clean & tidy.
Keeps narrow aisle reach truck clean, tidy & safe.
Follows material movement practices, maintains extensive knowledge of storage, movement and safe handling of goods.
Checks that all materials are correctly stored and transferred using the Radio Frequency device.
Maintains inventory counts and levels.
Communicates internally with other departments for the purpose of gathering, distributing materials and maintaining inventory.
Qualified candidates will have:
High School Diploma or equivalent .
Knowledge of basic mathematical foundations, which will be assessed separately.
Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 25kg throughout the shift.
Minimum 1 year experience of operating a forklift
Candidates must currently be at least 18 years of age AND possess unrestricted authorization to work in Canada. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
This is a safety sensitive position, and it requires the use of an N9 NIOSH-approved fitted respirator (“N95”) or an approved alternative. Successful candidates will be required to go through appropriate fit-testing and will be required to wear an N95 while performing their duties.
