The Team & Role
The Graduate Midwife Program is designed to support the newly qualified RM in the transition from student to registered practitioner. Throughout the program the graduate midwife is expected to deliver clinical care that is consistent with Bayside Health policies and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards. The graduate midwife is accountable for maintaining knowledge and skills ensuring they work within their scope of practice to provide high quality care to patients and clients. The RM works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes. This program involves a 12 month rotation in Midwifery.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- AHPRA registration as a Midwife
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
- The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Effective communication and the ability to relate to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds
