Description:

**Class Dates: July 6th - July 24thth**

Join Mercy College of Health Sciences' CNA Training Program and Launch Your Healthcare Career with MercyOne!

Program Highlights:

  • Duration: 3 weeks
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Structure:
    • Weeks 1–2: Classroom instruction & lab practice
    • Week 3: Clinical experience with local healthcare partners

What You’ll Learn:

  • Personal care skills: bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulation
  • Patient advocacy and communication
  • Safe patient handling and observation techniques
  • Specimen collection and post-mortem care

Benefits:

  • Program cost covered by MercyOne (with a 1-year work commitment)
  • Guaranteed full-time (12_hour shifts) Patient Care Technician (PCT) role upon completion
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Important Notes:

  • Attendance is mandatory – missing any part of the training forfeits your spot
  • This program is eligible for the Iowa state nurse aide exam 
  • Pre-employment requirements must be completed before starting: drug screen, physical, and background check

Eligibility:

  • Must be 16 years or older
