We are currently accepting applications for an emerging and/or experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in our Caringbah head office, on a six (6) month basis.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of key activities finance transactions, embed seamless financial processes and whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are met.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing monthly journals and bank reconciliations, monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and monthly BAS calculations
Maintaining and updating fixed asset register and related depreciation journals
Preparation of Intercompany cross-charge invoices
Responsibility for new supplier maintenance
Reconciliation of bank
Holiday cover as required for Accounts Receivable function
Adhere to high professional standards and personal integrity
Any other adhoc duties as required
To be successful in this role, you need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:
Computer literacy, with Intermediate Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication skills – written & verbal
Analytical with keen attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related discipline
Candidates who possess or are studying towards CPA or CA are highly regarded
Previous experience with Visual ERP or other ERP in an Accounting capacity desirable
