Description
Key Responsibilities
- Set up chair and minute all client meetings, ensuring that DCD, DCE, and DCOPs are fully informed
- Reporting on a weekly basis to the DCD PM of scope, budget, and schedule status, and any other issues arising related to the construction contracts
- Liaise with the Client, Professional Team and Contractor to establish all key project processes and monitor these processes reporting and making recommendations to the Client
- Engage FAT / SAT attendance and Vendor attendance to the site as appropriate
- Liaise with the Client, Professional Team, Engineer of Record, A/E, and Contractors to establish, review and regularly update the Project Risk Register
- Agree and monitor Risk Mitigation Plans and provide input into quantitative risk analysis reviews
- Initiate any actions/escalations such as acceleration programs for tasks falling behind and impacting the critical path
- Monitor and report on the Commissioning process, checking that the Commissioning Agent has developed a Commissioning Plan and all necessary test sheets and documentation
- Liaise with the DC Operations team to coordinate their involvement in all installation, commissioning, and snagging activities
- Coordinate all parties to complete practical completion documentation and ensure that all manuals are submitted and approved to an agreed schedule
- Liaise with Integration Lead to develop and manage the Integration plan
- Coordinate processes of issuance of RFI´s, submittals, transmitters, and other documents that must be revised and approved by the A/E or the EoR on time, so the schedule does not get impacted
- Drive LLE, M&E, and other technical design issues through to completion
- Monitor and report on OFCI LLE and other construction coordination on site
- Prepare reports for stakeholders on LLE and M&E vendor issues
- Prepare and issue for the DCD PM’s approval a monthly Project Manager’s report; weekly status update reports and provide input into other stakeholder reports and presentations as may be required
- Provide supporting information for the DCD PM’s input into Payment Application Reports and assist the Cost Manager to present these for approval to the Project Management
- Support the change management process by liaising with the Client, Professional Team, and Contractor in clarifying all necessary scopes, justification, and technical detail
- Liaise with the Professional Team around time/scope impacts assessments, and validity for change or variation events
- Report on General Contractor and vendor adherence to the Commissioning tagging process
- Assist in identifying early warning of construction, Mechanical and Electrical risks, and issues
- Monitor site works; record and report non-conforming work and drive the team for follow-up, preventative, and close-out actions
- Manage the General Contractor to undertake regular site Mechanical and Electrical quality audits and witness site tests as may be necessary
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5-7 years of experience in similar responsibilities
- Lean Construction Certification and/or PMP Certification is a plus
- Mission-critical experience a plus
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills in Portuguese and English
- Organized and detailed oriented
