Job Description
Purpose
The goal of the Commercial Manager EMEAA is to manage the functions essential to sales force productivity and provide day-to-day sales operations support such as generating proposal, bid related documents, cost and pricing analysis, contract review and facilitate sales motion. The sales support lead will coordinate tasks between the sales support team and account executive to manage day-to-day sales operations and enhance the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. A key responsibility will be helping the Sales team meet and exceed sales forecasts and revenue targets utilizing data analytics and actionable reporting.
Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Team Coordination
Coordinate and prioritize tasks within the Sales Support team to balance workload and avoid bottlenecks.
Provide training, coaching, and operational guidance to Sales Support team members.
Act as a key interface between Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and P&C to support daily commercial activities.
Commercial Execution
Ensure proposals and bid documentation are prepared in line with internal guidelines, commercial strategy, and governance standards.
Perform cost and pricing calculations in coordination with Sales and Operations.
Review commercial terms and assess contractual and financial impact, supporting negotiations with customers where required.
Facilitate structured handover from Sales to Operations, ensuring clarity of scope, risks, and commitments.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure all sales activities follow defined approval workflows, delegation of authority, and Commercial Guidelines.
Perform commercial and risk assessments, identifying potential contractual, financial, or delivery risks.
Support compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regional regulations applicable to EMEAA.
Maintain traceability and documentation of commercial decisions and approvals.
Systems, Data & Reporting
Act as Platform Super User for commercial systems (CRM, ERP, Sales tools).
Coordinate client portal registrations, ensuring accurate and complete data inputs from relevant departments.
Implement and maintain sales controlling and reporting mechanisms, including:
Regular performance reporting
Forecast accuracy tracking
Ad-hoc management reports to support decision-making
Stakeholder Support
Support Sales teams during key customer interactions and industry events as required.
Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes based on data insights and stakeholder feedback.
Requirements and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred
5–7 years of experience in a commercial management, sales operations, or sales support leadership role.
ILI (In-Line Inspection) industry experience is a plus, but not mandatory — profiles with a strong learning capability and willingness to develop technical understanding will be considered.
Strong commercial and management background, preferably in B2B environments.
Experience developing, improving, and implementing commercial or sales processes.
Experience working with commercial terms and conditions, including negotiations and payment structures.
Occasional domestic and/or international travel
Skillset
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
Must be proficient in spoken and written English, additional languages are a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in motivating cross-functional team
Advanced knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent).
Intermediate knowledge on SAP preferred
Intermediate understanding of Power BI or similar program
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Teams
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint and Outlook)
