The Compensation and Benefits Analyst supports the administration, analysis, and ongoing coordination of Saputo Cheese USA Inc.’s compensation and financial benefits programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and execution of compensation processes, incentive programs, and financial-related benefits. The position requires strong analytical capability to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of core compensation and benefit programs.

How you will make contributions that matter...

Compensation Programs

  • Analyze and support administration of hourly compensation programs, including interpretation of wage structures and pay actions in accordance with established guidelines, data file preparation, and system audits.

  • Lead the administration of the short-term incentive (STI) program including metric collection and payout calculations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of payments.

  • Provide analytical support for the Annual Salary Review process, including data preparation, system testing, auditing, and employee communications.

  • Conduct job evaluations and assign job grades based on established criteria to ensure internal equity and alignment with organizational compensation frameworks.

  • Maintain and validate compensation data across HR systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting.

  • Interpret compensation policies and provide guidance to HR Business Partners, managers and employees on compensation-related matters.

  • Support ongoing and ad hoc compensation programs and initiatives as needed.

Benefits Programs

  • Administer retirement and Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, including data analysis and reconciliation, eligibility and election tracking, and funding processes.

  • Perform weekly funding reconciliations for retirement plans, ensuring accuracy of contributions, timely funding, and compliance with plan provisions.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance with plan provisions and regulatory requirements.

  • Respond to HR Business Partner and employee inquiries related to retirement and ESOP programs.

  • Provide support for health and wellness benefit programs on ad hoc basis.

Analysis, Reporting, and Operational Excellence

  • Analyze compensation and benefits program data and develop reporting to identify trends, ensure data accuracy, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities to improve process efficiency.

  • Prepare, update, and distribute program communications and guidelines to promote awareness, understanding, and effective execution of compensation and financial benefits programs.

  • Monitor regulatory changes, market practices, and emerging trends to support effective management of compensation and benefits programs.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting employee compensation and/or financial benefits programs.

  • Experience handling confidential employee and compensation data.

  • Exposure to hourly wage structures and short-term incentive programs preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced Excel capability.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or benefits administration platforms.

Salary Range: $60,135 - $78,930

salary offers vary commensurate experience, education, skills, and training
