Facilities Technician

The Facilities Operator role at UCT is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Scrubber, and Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. This position performs inspections, sampling, and reporting, while troubleshooting equipment and managing chemical handling, sludge disposal, and spare parts availability. Operators support preventive and corrective maintenance, assist contractors during upgrades, and participate in incident investigations and emergency response. By driving process optimization, sustaining 6S practices, and ensuring system reliability, the Facilities Operator plays a critical role in supporting safe, sustainable, and efficient manufacturing operations at UCT.
