The Quality & EHS Intern supports Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities within a manufacturing environment. The role assists with quality system processes, audits, investigations, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the intern contributes to maintaining compliance with quality and EHS requirements while gaining practical experience in manufacturing operations and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities 

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) 

  • Support implementation and follow-up of EHS programs, procedures, and initiatives. 

  • Assist in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities. 

  • Help track safety observations, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions. 

  • Support training coordination and EHS communication activities. 

  • Participate in environmental and workplace safety improvement projects. 

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with internal EHS standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Promote a safe working environment and support safety culture initiatives. 

Quality Assurance & Packing Quality 

  • Support daily quality operations and follow-up on quality issues on the production floor. 

  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting of quality KPIs (scrap, defects, complaints, rework, etc.). 

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities using problem-solving methodologies. 

  • Support documentation updates including work instructions, procedures, inspection standards, and quality records. 

  • Assist with audits, layered process confirmations, and quality inspections. 

  • Help monitor compliance with company quality standards and procedures. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction and process stability.   

 

Administrative, Mentorship & Operational Support 

  • Provide support to the Quality Team by gathering information, supervising production orders, collecting data, measuring production samples, and supporting investigations related to internal and external complaints. 

  • All other job duties as assigned    

  • Support training and onboarding of QEHS team members related to standard work execution and expectations. 

Education 

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, certificate, or coursework in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field. 

Experience 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in professional work environment, preferably in a manufacturing, Quality, or EHS-related role. 

  • Exposure to ISO standards, auditing or safety programs. 

 

Technical & Professional Skills 

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word. 

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn. 

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills. 

  • Ability to analyze data, prioritize issues, and support decision-making. 

  • Strong attention to details 

  • Teamwork  

Pay Rate: $24.51 per hour
Shift: Admin Shift, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, flexible during school hours

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of kr0.00 - kr0.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
