As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of the team supporting our Biopharma Solutions products (Particle Counters, Cell Analyzers, and Centrifuge). This is a great opportunity for a self-starting and confident individual who can resolve technical issues impacting product quality and life cycle management. You will be responsible for driving problems to root cause and solving challenging technical issues in product designs.

This position reports to the IDC Site Leader and is part of Biopharma Solutions located in Bengaluru, India at the Danaher India Development Center. This is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including schematics, PCB layouts, and subsystem architectures for life sciences instruments
  • Lead subsystem development (power, analog/digital circuits, embedded interfaces) from concept through validation
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on system design and integration
  • Conduct design verification, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across development and sustaining phases, including documentation support
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support design transfer to manufacturing

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics engineering
  • 7+ years’ electronic design experience, preferably in instrumentation or regulated industries
  • Strong expertise in analog/digital circuit design and PCB development tools (Altium, Cadence, etc.) and schematic capture CAD design experience
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment and debugging complex systems
  • Experience with DFM/DFT and structured product development processes

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Biotechnology and medical device industry experience
  • Familiarity with PC/Microprocessors, LCD/LED Display Systems, FPGA, CPLD or analog circuits
  • Experience with electronic circuit simulation/modeling software
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (IEC 61010, IEC 60601) and EMI/EMC considerations
