Job Description
The purpose of this position is to distribute and pick up all critical, sensitive, and confidential mail, material, equipment, truck parts, motors, and supplies to and from Publix offices, warehouses, and store locations.
Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities include:
- transporting cargo by driving Publix’s 15 and 24-foot box trucks to and from Lakeland Publix complexes, following predefined routes.
- loading and unloading into box trucks using Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), including pallet jacks, single and double electric jacks, and forklifts
- delivering and collecting mail/pallets of materials
- sorting/distributing all incoming/outgoing interoffice, store and divisional, as well as pallets of mail
- completing all aspects of the 3:00 a.m. Monday morning retail store mail process, while still maintaining the daily responsibilities for the rest of the day
- assisting in other duties as assigned.
